Zack Snyder writes and directs this Netflix film that stars Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hannum, Ed Skrein, Djimon Housou, Ray Fisher & Anthony Hopkins. This film had a very brief theatrical release but hit Netflix on December 22. In this film, a former military officer begins a crusade to take down this all powerful interstellar empire by assembling a group of mercenaries and former soldiers after this empire killed people from her village. Zack Snyder had plans to work with George Lucas on this film before Lucas sold his production company to Disney. When those plans fell through and Snyder had his infamous falling out with Warner Bros., Netflix decided to produce his film and its possible sequels.
