The third and final film in this trilogy sees David Twohy return as director as well as Vin Diesel. This film takes place a decade after the previous, in which Riddick is left for dead on a dessert planet only to be hunted once again by 2 separate groups of mercenaries. However, things take a terrifying turn when strange creatures begin attacking the groups which leaves Riddick and the mercs no choice but to join forces and fend off them off. This film sees newcomers join the cast like Jordi Molla, Matthew Nable, Kate Sackoff & Dave Batista. Karl Urban has a small cameo in this film as well, reviving his character from the 2004 film.
