This film was directed by Nia Costa, is the sequel to the 2019 film, “Captain Marvel” and is the 33rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film sees Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani & Samuel L. Jackson return to their original roles from other MCU films while being joined by Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis & Park Seo-joon. In this film, Captain Marvel must team with Monica Rambeau & Kamala Khan to fend off an evil overlord from another planet who plans to use their combined powers to destroy other worlds while simultaneously restoring her own. This film takes place following the events of “Ms. Marvel” & “Secret Invasion” and uses a number of characters who return from those shows as well.
