This animated film was written and directed by Kevin Munroe and has a pretty stacked voice cast which include Chris Evans, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Patrick Stewart, Laurence Fishburne, John DiMiaggio, Ziyi Zhang, Nolan North & Kevin Smith. The film follows out beloved heroes as they take on ancient warrior who uses 13 different monsters to attack New York City after being summoned by a mysterious portal. This film was supposed to kickstart a new animated trilogy but the planned sequels were scrapped after the 2009 film, “Astro Boy” bombed at the box office, causing the animation studio to close down and the movie rights would be bought by Nickelodeon and planned a reboot for a 2014 release.
