The 36th annual “Summerslam” was live from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan and featured 8 matches, 4 of which were championship matches. They included the final showdown between “The Beast” Brock Lesnar against “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, Ronda Rousey faced Shayna Bazler in a MMA Rules match, Gunther defends the Intercontinental title against “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul went one on one with Ricochet, Asuka puts her WWE Women’s championship on line in a triple threat match against Bianca Belair & Charolette Flair, Seth Rollins squared off against Finn Balor once again for the World Heavyweight Championship and in the main event, Tribal Combat, Roman Reigns takes on Jey Uso for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The event also featured the “Slim Jim” Battle Royale which included top stars such as AJ Styles, Sheamus, LA Knight, Karrion Kross & the US Champion, Austin Theory.
