Today on the podcast, Sam is speaking with Dr. Philippe Mongeon, an associate professor at the Department of Information Sciences at Dalhousie University. Philippe has a BAA from UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal) along with a MSI and PhD from the University of Montreal. Philippe runs the Quantitative Science Studies Lab where he collaborates with multiple graduate students, post docs, and faculty members on various projects, mostly using bibliometrics. He joined Sam to discuss how he came to Dalhousie, highlights from his research, the importance of community and the problems with academic publishing.
