Joining me today is Lyne Morissette the founder and owner of Little Tree Hugger Boutique located at 776 Corydon Avenue. Lyne started her business after creating products at home that would work on her son's skin. He suffered from eczema and she was unable to locate anything on the market that would work with the ingredients she was comfortable with.
After we taped this episode her son who was in the background said, "Wow what is the title of this show 'Hippie Moms Unite??". HAHA, We definitely are a good team!
From making products in her home to knocking on shop doors and placing her products out in public to now operating her own brick and mortar shop that showcases numerous local vendors, this is a homegrown success story built on honest labeling and curation of local, safe, healthy and environmentally friendly ingredients.
You can order anywhere from in the world (she even ships to Sri Lanka!) by going to her site: https://littletreehuggersoap.com/
And if you are lucky enough to be in Manitoba pop by her store and say hi.
At the end of the episode, I wrap up with a strategy I use whenever making lifestyle changes, the crowd it out method. Works like a charm if you want to eat healthier or add more activity. Take a listen!
