Description

The senior adult fitness exercises (safe) program is designed to improve the health, mobility and independence of seniors.  Safe is a series of exercise videos to help older adults gain strength, balance and flexibility to prevent falling and increase confidence to keep moving.


Dr. José A. Morais is the Director of Geriatric Medicine at the McGill Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, the McGill University Health Centre and the Jewish General Hospital.  He is also the Academic Lead of the Dementia Education Program. Dr. Morais is the creator of the safe program.  He will talk about the importance of fitness to prevent falls and promote healthy aging, explain why he created the video series, and share a sneak preview.


Safe was funded by the Montreal General Hospital Foundation.  It is bilingual and available for free at www.safe-seniors.com.
