Moira Welsh is an award-winning investigative reporter with the Toronto Star who has written extensively on issues facing seniors, with a focus on long-term care, as well as on issues related to social justice, health and the environment. Ms. Welsh is the author of Happily Ever Older: Revolutionary Approaches to Long-Term Care, about evolving ways to live in our later years.
Ms. Welsh will share information about what she’s learned from her years of investigating retirement homes and long-term care facilities in Canada and around the world. She will talk about positive alternatives to what we understand as the norm for long-term care and share ideas about how we can revolutionize care so that seniors can live out their days in dignity and with purpose, energy and love.
