It's the 40th anniversary of one of our duo's favorite films: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. 1984 was a banner year for film, particular within nerd culture, and Indy's first sequel (or prequel?) was one of the headliners. Produced in the midst of George Lucas' divorce, Steven Spielberg had to direct the shit out of this movie, resulting in a tonal smorgasbord of juvenile comedy and genuine horror that works fantastically in its favor. Danny and Kevin provide a commentary track as they discuss the making of the film, why it works so well, and the genius of John Williams and Steven Spielberg.
If you are watching the movie as you listen, start it at 4 minutes and 22 seconds into the pod.
