A patient herself, Rachel realized the limitations of current technology designed to help women recovering from cervical cancer. She created a device that's more comfortable, modern, and effective than the ones currently on the market, and is in the process of obtaining Health Canada approvals and going through clinical trials. In our talk, Rachel shares the ups and downs, challenges and rewards that go along with launching a medical device, and speaks about how Innovation Factory and the SOPHIE funding program helped make her vision a reality.
