This homily was given by Fr. Matthew Howell at St. Herman Church on the fifth Sunday after Pentecost. Fr. Matthew shared his two favorite quotes from Monty Williams, the head basketball coach of the Phoenix Suns: "This is a 'Get To', not a 'Got To,'" and, "Everything you want is on the other side of hard." He explains how these quotes relate to our spiritual lives. He also ties the latter quote in with today's gospel reading about the Gergesene Demoniacs and today's feast of the dormition of St. Anna.
