Mark 2:16-17
When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
In this episode, I will read from a blog post written by Joni Eareckson Tada. In it she mentioned an illustration she received from Shannon Gallatin, who happens to be a friend of mine.
With the verses above already on my mind, hearing these thoughts drove the point home all the more. God has a tender and searching Heart for the broken ones.
