Psalm 139:17-18
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I should count them,
they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.
Charles Spurgeon wrote—
One or two thoughts would not suffice
for our many needs.
If he only thought of us now and then,
what would we do in the meantime?
But He thinks of us constantly!
He says He has engraved our names
on the palms of His Hands (Isaiah 49:16),
as if to show
how continually we are before Him.
