Psalm 57:4
I am surrounded by fierce lions
who greedily devour human prey--
whose teeth pierce like spears and arrows,
and whose tongues cut like swords.
Psalm 57:7
My heart is confident in you, O God;
no wonder I can sing your praises!
The primary action of the word "confident" is to cause to stand in an upright position, and thus it also means fixed or steadfast.
