This week we’re deviating from the norm and chatting with Brian Lockyer! He’s the director and writer of the upcoming cerebral body horror/thriller film “Snow Blinded” ahead of the film’s premiere next Thursday at the Apollo Cinema. Both Brian and Otis have been working on this batshit crazy film for three years and it is finally going to be shown on the big screen! If you are new to the podcast or just haven’t been following along, Otis also composed the original score for the film and worked on set, so this gave us a chance to talk about all aspects of “Snow Blinded” and really get into the production of the film.
In this episode we chat about indie film production, Brian and Otis share what they’ve learned working on the film and stories from the set, talk about scoring and composing music for the film, muse on the benefits of working with the right people, and discuss the importance of shared creative vision. Plus, Brian talks about his drive to get the perfect shot even if it means risking life and limb and shares his inspiration, influences, vision, and goals for “Snow Blinded”.
