Description

As promised, we’re back with a Lazy Bird episode to catch you up on everything that’s been going on with us and why we’ve been so MIA for the last month or so. Join us as we share some positive energy, some gripes, and some of the stuff that we’ve been enjoying lately.

This week, we’ve got all sorts of stories from all across the globe! PALMREADER talks about his adventures in Portugal and his experience with COVID, complains about airlines, shares a story about using the washroom on a plane and getting bounced around like a kid in a mosh pit while trying to clean himself up, praises his AirBnB hosts Charles and Alexandra, and more stories from across the pond. Otis shares tales from working at Ottawa Comic-Con, his love for free gravy, wanting to own a sword, meeting a stereotypical mouth-breather, vendors being analogous to carnival workers and wanting someone at TLC (or himself) to make a TV show about them, and more.

PALMREADER also takes some time to talk about the new Anxiety Weekend album “On Infinite Repeat”, the process of creating it and his songwriting, the challenge of promoting something online, how awkward it is to speak about his own art, the semi-botched album release (thanks COVID), and thanks everyone who has purchased or streamed the album and shared kind words. PALMREADER also thanks Otis for his kind review of his new album and Otis shares how cool it is to know exactly what some of the songs are about because he was actually part of the events that inspired them. Otis also finally shares some details about his upcoming multimedia project and PALMREADER talks about the process of working on it with him.

We also shout out some new and old releases that we love… “Celebrity Therapist” from The Callous Doaboys, “Road To Perdition” and Sam Mendes, “The Bear” on FX, “The Rings Of Power” and “House Of The Dragon”, Netflix’s “Untold” series of documentaries, “Results Take Time” from rapper Samba and DJ Drama, Roc Marciano and The Alchemist’s “The Elephant Man’s Bones”, ”Louie” from Kenny Beats, the new Pianos Become The Teeth album “Drift”, and local rising star Dom Vallie’s new mixtape “Are We There Yet?”.

See you next week, homies!
