The United States has always been a society of political and social differences. Currently, in 2020, we are facing one of the most important voting movements of our lifetimes. The issue of voting has been a contested issue since the passing of voting rights in favor of certain individuals and excluding others such as: Blacks, Native Americans, Latinos and Hispanics, and women. So voting is a major that we all must take seriously. Voting for president is important but so is voting for the issues that directly affect your community. This episode we talk about the importance of voting on a national level and, also, the state and local levels. We touch on the Voting Rights Act of 1965, eminent domain, and voter suppression.
