Professional Athletes, Law Enforcement, Military, Hospitality, Helping professionals (Nurses, doctors, therapists) the highest rate of divorce! Why?
There is a specific Credo of what it means to wear that uniform. Continually flexing that mind-muscle has built that up to what is showing up always.
*Symbolic Power of clothing - The clothes you wear change the way you see yourself as well as the way you think.
We are built to be flexible, to be and act in any way that allows us to perform at our best.
A few Self-limiting factors
Resistance - Fear, the narrative we have defined ourselves, self-limiting self talk “No one in my family has done “x”.”
Language - The language that we use is extremely powerful ( Language TED talk). Different cultures have different words and Do Not have certain words like “Spend” ending in a higher level of prosperity.
Blind Spot - If there is no word for it, you become blind to it - a Scotoma
Language - We use language in a way to create our world.
“You” are a _______ way, “You” are _______ and you start reinforcing this statement and programming it into your OS.
But, there is no “YOU” or how you are always.
You are a different person at work than you are at home, you are a different person ordering your coffee compared to the you while working out. You are a different you when writing out a birthday card or shopping etc.
You wear different hats within each of these
You have a psychological Immune System that is designed to protect you, as well as not re assure that you are stupid. It protects you
Environment - The #1 most overlooked part of helping make change happen. The osmosis of it helps shift and change behaviors.
Association with environments.
