Default game is about bettering yourself and always growing while maintaining certain attributes that become a standard for you.

The term “default game” was explained to me by a good friend of mine who helped me grow to be the best version of myself. And, in becoming the best version of myself, I met my wife and I truly believe that had it not been for me upping my default game, we would have never started dating.

Okay, so more specifically, what is default game?

DG is when you have a job, a car, your own place to live, continued education, goals, take care of yourself physically, and have a savings account. It’s when you are self-sufficient and do not NEED anyone to add value to you, you add value to yourself AND you value yourself.

Originally, default game was explained to me in order to help me understand that if I wanted a great partner in life, I needed to be great. All too often we want things that we don’t really deserve. Think about it, there are lots of guys and girls who want their partners to come to the table bearing gifts, yet they arrive short-handed. OR because you arrive short-handed, you settle for less than what you want. Default game is setting high standards for yourself, working on yourself, and being able to set them high for others to even play with you - this applies to platonic or intimate relationships.

This doesn’t mean you only deal with people that are exclusively on your level but you can set that standard if you so choose, you’ve earned it. This may come off as a bit snobbish but think about the work it takes to better

yourself. Why would you allow someone to come into your life or remain in your life if they are only there taking from you while they slack and mooch?

Energy Vampires come in many different forms and will suck energy, money, ideas, advice, knowledge, and more out of you and from you.

Your default game can be as unique as you are and change frequently too. My default game looked like this when I first started.

Job, bills paid, minimal debt, money in the bank, reliable transportation, six-pack abs, going to school.
