The co-host of CHFI's hit radio show, The Pooja and Gurdeep Show, Pooja Handa is one of the friendliest voices and faces in Canadian media. Whether you watched her on TV when she was an anchor and host of CP24 Breakfast, or currently enjoy listening to her upbeat voice on the radio early morning, Pooja has made her way into your home with a full heart.
But behind the scenes, over a span of 8 years, Pooja was struggling to grow her family. For multiple years in between segments Pooja would take calls from doctors to find out, yet again, she wasn't pregnant and have to quickly put herself together to go back on-air (both a blessing and a curse she would tell us), needless to say, being a well known figure and have to figure out how to fit her fertility challenges into her life came with difficulty.
Today, Pooja generously shares her story on how after 8 years, 7 rounds of IVF, 3 Canadian clinics, 2 US clinics, multiple losses and more, she is now a mother of two young babies, 3 months apart thanks to two amazing surrogates - what an epic story!
