We have sort of an odd episode here. Sorry in advance. The majority of this episode was recorded the day after Easter. I took this time to talk about the tragic loss of Patrick Lyoya. With the heaviness of the subject matter, I was having trouble figuring out when to put the episode out, given the common nature of the show. I wondered if I should even speak on the topic, if what I had to say even mattered, or if what I said would even be listened to or cared about. But it frankly doesn't matter. Which is why the episode comes out anyway. Nothing I have to say matters usually, so why would that make this episode any different? IF this episode does do anything for you, I'm so glad, but that's not why it's coming out. I don't know what to say when these tragedies happen ever, but things need to be said. The tragedies need to be talked about at risk of being swept under the rug. We cannot continue to sweep the policing issue under the rug in this country.
