Description

Nicole Kearney never thought she’d be making small batch wine for a living. In fact, she never thought she’d have a career outside of economic development and writing. Besides the fact that Indiana isn’t exactly known for its grapes or winemaking for that matter, Nicole worked in a variety of personally fulfilling fields for the last 20 years and winemaking was nowhere on that list.

Like most wine lovers, Nicole remembers the moment she got hooked; while pursuing her Master’s degree. Fast forward to October 2016, Sip & Share opened for business.

In episode 401, we discussed her career, her biggest challenges of being a black woman winemaker (she's part of just 1% of Black winemakers and .06% of Black women winemakers), how wine makes you tipsy, hidden ingredients in store bought wine and more.
