For Halloween 2021 join your (g)host Garhdo as they explore the legacy of the "Father of the Zombie Film" George A. Romero, whose Night of the Living Dead created the idea of the zombie as an undead flesh-eater, creating a new horror icon, and a new sub-genre of horror that has spread into films, television, books, comics and games. This podcast explores all of the Dead films made by George Romero, as well as their remakes and influences, to discuss the themes within, and the impact they had, for a series that refuses to die, and promises to even rise again after the death of its creator.

This was my first real Halloween Special, and was a lot of fun, giving me a chance to rewatch and re-explore some incredible films that not only created one of my favourite genres but also stand to this day as some of its finest examples. I also played around with some other aspects in this, such as finding unique intro music, and using a black and white frame for the YouTube video.

There is so much more I could have explored regarding the ongoing development of the zombie beyond Romero, but that's probably better suited for another time.
