Do all paths lead to God? Will I get to heaven as long as I am a good person? Can I trust my heart to know the right thing to do? Is it enough that I am sincere in my beliefs? Was Jesus just another great spiritual leader like Mohammed, Mahatma Gandhi, and Mother Teresa?
No, no, no, no, and no.
Jesus is often glamorized by those who do not know Him. They place Him on a pedestal with other enlightened and inspirational historical figures while disregarding His highly controversial statements that made Him hated by many of His generation.
Here is just one of many such statements in which Jesus claimed His own pre-existence: “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am,” (John 8.58).
