Jesus Christ described the first Easter as “the third day.” On that historic, singular event, Jesus fulfilled His promise: “I will reach my goal.” Nothing deterred the Son of God from His mission. No amount of resistance, persecution, or suffering could stop this man. Not even death prevented Christ from attaining His “goal” on “the third day,” when Jesus rose from the dead, (Luke 13.32).
This temporal life is only a dress rehearsal for the real performance scheduled for “the third day.” My personal Easter debut may happen sooner than I think. Like Jesus, I must die to get there.
When the curtain rises on my “the third day,” will I be ready?
