In Nehemiah 8.10b, 12, we read, "The joy of the LORD is our strength!" Life tends to beat us up a little. We are (hopefully) a little wiser and (certainly) a little less idealistic. But the joy is still there. It’s deep and abiding. We can trust it. It gives us strength.
