With an attentive and ready-to-buy audience, Peter launched into his full gospel presentation. Luke’s record states, “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all those who heard the message,” (Acts 10.44). Peter wisely recognized the signals, stopped preaching, and closed the sale with the water of baptism.
Lord, make me wise enough to shut up long enough for You to work in the lives of those you want me to reach with the message of Christ.
