In this episode, Hilary and I share our story of how God drew us into a mother-daughter relationship that has changed our lives (and our families’ lives) forever. There are countless ways God calls us to provide for each other’s needs through spiritual adoption, whether it may be as a stand-in, supplemental, or replacement family member. That is how the family of God becomes mature and complete - one adoption at a time, as Jesus leads.
However, while spiritual adoption is a crucial part of God’s heart, it is not something we rush into because we want to help and love others. Their wisdom on this matter has been essential for my family as we navigate following Jesus into these adoptions.
