Description

In today's interview, our conversation partner Johannes Keller, teacher at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and musician, will talk about a unique instrument recreated from a coin and historical flyer of the 16th century (!), based on the descriptions of Vicentino.

Arciorgano is the only prototype of this instrument in the world which exists within the walls of the Schola. We will learn more about Vicentino's theory, humanism and Ancient Greece, hear the difference between minor and neutral thirds, learn about new Vicentino harmonies and the mysteries of historically informed design.
