Zoe shares their archive story of unboxing French Revolution documents and broadsides from 1790 to 1793 from the UCSB Library Special Research Collections. This episode dives into historical events such as the National Assembly's confiscation of estates and possessions, the issuance of certificates of civisme by the Committee of Public Safety, and the process of French citizenship. Through analyzing these documents, personal experiences during the French Revolution are revealed.
