The scriptures advises us to pray and ask God not to lead us into temptation but to deliver us from evil. Jesus knew of our fallible nature and how vulnerable humans are in the face of temptation. Unfortunately for many of us, we deliberately take ourselves where temptations are. When we deliberately and consciously take ourselves where we are likely to be tempted, we are tempting God and we shall find ourselves failing.
