Kortlin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and brought to Houston, Texas because of hurricane Katrina. She had 3 pairs of clothes and hope to go back home as soon as possible. Little did she know God would be changing her life for the better. What looked like a hurricane that would ruin her life actually was a hurricane that brought her to bigger and better things.
