Kara Lea Deardorff is the Principal at Byron Nelson High School, where she supports curriculum and instruction, staff development, and leads campus and district improvement. She is in her 20th year in education and 12th year in administration.
Before becoming an administrator, Kara Lea served as a middle and high school English teacher, athletic coach, campus instructional teacher, and curriculum writer. She has presented on multiple occasions at district, region, state, and national conferences.
Today she partners with Sharon Siar to discuss how different generations are changing the way people view leadership and climbing the "corporate ladder" whether that be in education, logistics or any industry.
Kara Lea enjoys reading, working out, watching Green Bay Packer football, and spending time with her two children and husband. Feel free to connect with her on twitter @KaraDeardorff
