Somewhere around 2012, Charlotte Greve reached out to Andrew for a saxophone lesson. At that time, she was attending conservatory in Germany and was coming to visit New York. She wanted to spend some time talking about music and her artistic direction. This was the first time Charlotte and Andrew would meet, but not the last. Only a week or so before they met, Andrew had purchased a vintage saxophone for no particular reason. He ended up selling the vintage horn to her, an instrument that he felt “matched” her energy. Who knew. Now some ten years later she still plays it. In this interview, Charlotte and Andrew talk about that moment in time and what it meant to her music, Charlotte's career, music in Europe and the US, sexism, and more. Maybe most importantly, they also speak at length about Greve's song SEE, which is gorgeous (spoiler alert - wait until you hear it with a huge choir. Amazing!)
