Hi everyone! I know this is on the long side, but we're setting up an entire universe here, and that comes with personal disclaimers about how I intend to talk about this show. Plus now that we're looking back to the beginning of the series, I hope we can approach the characters with a more nuanced and thoughtful approach, knowing that they're not just the surface level two-dimensional characters a lot of us had as first impressions of them fifteen years ago. It provides a lot of interesting insights into both Sam and Dean, and it's been fun for me to be able to talk about them both in such depth.
(though next time I think I'll focus less on "episode recap" and more on just the parts I find most interesting, because again, I kind of keep forgetting we've all seen the show before... so while it was a useful exercise for these first few establishing episodes, going forward I think it's safe to focus less on that and stick to the real point of this podcast... I am pretty sure there was a point when I started this project, anyway! Hope everyone's having a lovely week!) :)
