Destiny. Something that will become a core theme of the show, opposite Free Will. In this case, at least, it’s just a cursed rabbit’s foot that escaped the curse box John Winchester had stuffed it in and hidden away in his secret storage locker rather than actually destroying the thing years ago. Funny how what goes around eventually comes around again, yes? Locking up problems is never an actual solution on this show (or in real life, fwiw).
