This Miami Hurricanes football classic discusses September 1, 2001 up in Happy Valley against Penn State in a game the Canes would win 33-7. I give a little background about this game coming in. This would be payback for 1999 in the Orange Bowl against Penn State in the heartbreaker we lost and was determined in this game to avenge Chafie Fields and we would not leave this game in the hands of the refs (I.e., the poor spot on James Jackson’s 4th and Short run the play before Fields’ GW TD.
