This week's episode of We Love Outdoors with Rich Davenport brings to you the latest updates on fishing conditions and what's hot in Western New York, with opening of inland Musky season starting May 29, just in time for the Memorial Day celebrations.  The latest news on Sturgeon Point Marina is the dredging will occur - and the work should be starting today!  This is just in time for the start of the Southtown's Walleye Association's annual Walleye derby, which once again will be limited to NY waters and NY/ PA anglers only, as Canada is still closed.  Access and improvement activities within Erie County concerning fishing access and other improvements in area pocket parks, with additional updates from the most recent Erie County Fisheries Advisory Board meeting, held on 5/18/ 2021.  Rich also provides several updates to legislative activity at the state and county levels, with the added good news that a companion bill to S.6314 has been introduced in the NYS Assembly!  Additional updates provided concerning some recent studies and wind factories ever escalating woes, both economically AND physically, with the recent discovery that tons of Bisphenol A from the epoxies used to glue the fiberglass and carbon fibers together for the turbine blades are being shed into the atmosphere through normal wear and tear from grit in the wind.  Bisphenol A is an endocrine blocker.  Not good.  The more we learn the more self-evident the idea of freshwater offshore wind turbines has zero merit, if not less!  Finally, in this week's episode of We Love Outdoors, Rich examines the rise of paddling and kayak fishing, and offers some advice to the new to the sport paddlers, advice which should be heeded to avoid any nanny state initiatives.
