In today’s episode, cabinet decided on the amount of aid for victims of last week’s wildfire that swept through Limassol villages, leaving hundreds of people homeless and wrecking businesses.

Meanwhile, the 112 emergency alert system is moving forward on schedule and could be awarded by September if no appeals are filed, Interior Minister Constantinos Ioannou confirmed.

Also, all residences and businesses impacted by last week’s fire will be subsidised by up to €500 in their last issued electricity bill, the EAC announced.
