It feels weird reporting on video games in a time of global crisis. Being yet another voice talking about video games feels so inconsequential in the vast digital ether of the internet when there are real things happening. Yet, seeing the responses from local Ukrainian game developers in the face of danger changed my tune a bit. Games matter, but the people that make them matter more. The responses from the wider gaming community supporting relief efforts shows how games can bring people together to support a cause in even the darkest of times.
