In this episode, I got the privilege of sitting down with my wonderful mentor, Francesca Maresca, and she helped inform us about what ovulation is, what menstruation is and how understanding our bodies' natural cycles can help us to avoid getting pregnant.
Dr. Maresca oversees Health Services, CAPS, and HOPE at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She has her Ph.D., MA, New York University; BA Rutgers University; CHES. And these are just a few of her credentials. She is beloved by faculty and students alike.
She is the reason that I wanted to become a sexual health educator. She helped take something as taboo and scary to talk about as sex and made it fun, exciting and empowering to be vocal about.
This episode is all about breaking the stigma, understanding our bodies and letting that knowledge empower us to make the best decisions for ourselves.
