Interesting concepts meet shark jumping in the latest season (season 4) of Netflix's YOU starring Penn Badgley, which seemed so promising, but then as usual, it took a deep dive off a bridge. Inconsistent characters, eye-roll-worthy plot reveals, and further stigmatization of mental illness all contribute to yet another misadventure for Joe Goldberg. Spoilers for YOU seasons 1-4 and also brief spoiler for Prisoners (2013) but that movie also did a very similar turn where they had plot holes upon plot holes trying to explain its ridiculous reveal so don't watch it.
