Someone, who I suspect in a hundred years or so, will be declared a saint. I'm talking about none other than Bishop Athanasius Schneider. auxiliary bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan.
The book is title Dominus Est It Is the Lord! Reflections of a Bishop of Central Asia on Holy Communion. It was released in 2012, but it is still very relevant today.
I absolutely love this book and I recommend it because it tells a story many people don't know. A story about love for Jesus and the Eucharist so strong that people risked and even gave their lives to preserve. A story about communism and how it is not only a bad social and political idea, but how it is murderous and anti-religious. A story that too many of us have forgotten.
Who should read this book? Every Catholic should read this book, but especially those young people who are preparing for confirmation. Parents should read this book to their children who are preparing for first communion as well. But this book is especially good for Catholics who have a nonchalant attitude about the Eucharist.
A great book, and you should definitely read it if you get a chance. This has been Shalone Cason and don't forget to share this and check out my other social media channels in the description below. God bless, stay holy, and now I will sign off with a quote from the book.

God willing, the pastors of the Church will be able to renew the
house of God which is the Church, placing the Eucharistic Jesus in
the center, giving Him the first place, making it so that He receive
gestures of honor and adoration also at the moment of Holy
Communion. The Church must be reformed, starting from the
Eucharist! Ecclesia ab Eucharistia emendanda est! The Church must
be reformed by the Eucharist.
