My God, I firmly believe that Thou art everywhere present and seest all things...cleanse my heart from all vain, wicked, and distracting thoughts. Enlighten my understanding, and inflame my will, that I may pray with reverence, attention, and devotion.
Reflect on the quote for a while. Read it over a few times. Sit quietly and consider this: What obstacle is impeding you from greater holiness? Is it a specific person, place, or thing? Did you know and do you believe that God has all the power? Have you asked God to help you overcome your obstacles?
