Overcoming obstacles can stop us from wanting to go forward or push us to put our lives into action.  Trauma is the most difficult obstacle to move past and can leave lasting damage to your inner struggles. However, having the courage to move past our trauma can provide us the strength to conquer anything. It allows us the ability to pay it forward and help other survivors of trauma overcome these obstacles. With the ability to heal others we can heal ourselves building on our confidence and providing us immense emotional growth. Today on the Crushing Chaos Podcast Rukshana Triem talks about her journey from a refugee camp fighting trauma such as sexual abuse to helping empower women to conquer their own trauma.

Rukshana Triem spent 10 years in refugee camps traveling from Mozambique to the United States. She overcame obstacles such as sexual abuse, and trauma in the camps. For 20 years she let that fear be a part of her life. However, she turned those experiences around by reading books, attending seminars, and personal development work. She knows from her experience that to overcome these traumas it requires intense personal work on oneself. That once you do you have the strength to not only help yourself but to help other survivors.
