FERN G. Z. CARR is a former lawyer, teacher, and past President of both the BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – Kelowna Branch, and Project Literacy Central Okanagan Society. She is a member of the Federation of BC Writers and the League of Canadian Poets where she served as Poet-in-Residence mentoring young writers. This Pushcart Prize nominee composes and translates poetry in six languages including Mandarin. Fern also curates her poetry YouTube channel. Her poetry collection is entitled Shards of Crystal (Silver Bow Publishing). She has been published extensively worldwide from Finland to Mauritius and has had her work recognized by the Parliamentary Poet Laureate.
