Gil is a Portuguese football coach who has been working as an assistant coach and has a lot of experience specialising the best way to help develop individual players. His last role was in the Portuguese first division. He has written a book about coach decisions, edited by the Portuguese Football Federation, and also published three articles to the Spanish football magazine, The Tactical Room. His study area is around football’s learning process, ‘how can we help the players to learn better?’ Currently he holds the UEFA A Coaching Licence through the Scottish FA and has two Master degrees.
