Nicole Chaitan-Kissoon is a Certified Financial Services Professional based in Trinidad and Tobago. After obtaining a degree in Economics she began a career in her home government and realized that sitting behind a desk creating words and planning documents that ultimately would end up collecting dust on a shelf just wasn't appealing. In addition, she was growing a family and wanted a career that would allow her to use both her skills and allow her time for a healthy work/life balance as well. After beginning a tutoring service for ivy league students, she saw an advertisement for a mortgage officer, but actually ended up being an insurance related position. After learning more on the position, she decided to take chance on a new path. A year later, she was Rookie of the year, and 5 years later she is one of the most successful and respected representatives in her office. In this conversation, we learn how she found balance, overcame her own stigmas about the insurance industry, and the joy of educating others on how to protect their families with expertise she has gathered along the way...all because she got a license.
