Over the weekend, a news story broke involving Florida Governor Rick Scott and the recent resignation of the head of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Gerald Bailey. While Rick Scott expressed remorse at the time, it has since come to light that, unhappy with investigations directed toward him and his administration, Rick Scott applied a great deal of pressure on Bailey to resign. For the sake of transparency and good government, Rick Scott needs to be held accountable for his actions to silence one who was investigating corruption in Scott's administration.
